Türkiye detains 78 suspects over alleged FETÖ links

Turkish authorities have detained 78 people suspected of links to the FETÖ terrorist organisation during an operation carried out across 11 provinces centred in Istanbul.

During searches conducted as part of the operation, police seized cash in various currencies, 765 grams of gold and digital storage devices, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.

According to the Police Department, a total of 9,626 operations targeting FETÖ have been conducted in Istanbul over the past decade.

As part of those operations, 34,116 suspects have been detained, with 13,272 of them subsequently arrested.
