Türkiye detains 90 suspects in nationwide ISIS-linked raids

Türkiye’s Interior Ministry has announced the detention of 90 individuals suspected of links to the Islamic State militant group (ISIS) following a series of large-scale counterterrorism operations.

The coordinated raids were carried out simultaneously across 24 provinces, involving anti-terror police units, the gendarmerie, and prosecutors, TRT Haber reports.

Authorities said the suspects are accused of membership in a terrorist organisation, financing its activities through so-called charitable structures, and disseminating propaganda via social media platforms.

The Interior Ministry noted that the operations form part of Türkiye’s ongoing nationwide efforts to combat terrorism and dismantle extremist networks.
