Türkiye detains eight in Istanbul operation targeting ISIS financing

Turkish authorities have detained eight individuals in Istanbul as part of an operation targeting the financial networks of the Islamic State (ISIS), TRT Haber reports.

The suspects are alleged to have provided financial support to ISIS members residing in Istanbul as well as to operatives active in conflict zones in Syria.

Law enforcement officers conducted coordinated searches at multiple locations, during which digital materials were seized. These materials are currently undergoing forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
