Türkiye detains over 100 cyber fraudsters as part of Operation Sibergöz-49 VIDEO
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has written that the measures against cyber fraudsters were simultaneously carried out in 29 provinces as part of Operation Sibergöz-49 (Cybereye).
“Some 110 suspects were detained with a transaction volume of 3.750 billion Turkish liras [$115 million] during Operation Sibergöz-49 carried out in 29 provinces to combat betting and qualified fraud through information systems, as well as child pornography on the Internet,” Caliber.Az reports citing the minister’s message on X.

The coordinated actions against cyber fraudsters were also conducted in 27 provinces as part of Operation Sibergöz-47 on June 29.
"Some 97 suspects were detained during the Operation Sibergöz-47 to counter betting and gambling in football and other sports competitions. Twelve residential houses, six cars, four motorbikes, bank accounts of e-money service providers, and crypto-assets from laundering criminal assets were seized. Unlicensed pistols, hunting rifles, and digital materials were also confiscated as a result of the operation," the message says.
