Operation Pence-Kilit is a series of Turkish military operations conducted in northern Iraq, aimed at targeting the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), a Kurdish militant group that Türkiye considers a terrorist organisation.
Operation Pence-Kilit is part of Türkiye's broader counter-terrorism strategy to combat the PKK, which has been involved in an insurgency against Türkiye since the 1980s. The operation's primary objectives are to neutralise PKK fighters, destroy their bases, and prevent them from launching attacks on Turkish soil.
