Türkiye dismantles ISIS support network in coordinated nationwide operation
Turkish authorities have detained 324 suspects in a large-scale operation targeting the terrorist organization ISIS across 47 provinces, the Interior Ministry said.
According to the Ministry of Interior, coordinated raids were carried out in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, and other regions, involving the General Directorate of Security, the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), and the public prosecutor’s office, TRT Haber reports.
Officials said that among those detained are individuals already wanted by authorities, as well as suspects accused of providing financial support to ISIS and participating in the group’s activities in the past.
During the operation, security forces seized weapons, ammunition, organizational documents, and digital materials. Authorities also confiscated financial assets worth nearly 10 million Turkish lira ($294,000).
The Interior Ministry described the operation as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle ISIS networks and disrupt their financial and operational capabilities across the country.
