According to the statement, the detained individuals were found to be actively involved in the PKK/KCK's activities, including providing funding, carrying out terrorist propaganda, and spreading the group’s ideology through social media. Among those arrested were individuals who had previously served prison sentences and were on the wanted list. The operation also led to the seizure of unlicensed pistols, numerous organizational documents, and digital materials.
This operation follows the successful completion of Gürz-37, which took place in 41 provinces across the country and led to the detention of 147 PKK members. Minister Yerlikaya had reported earlier on January 11 that the operation, which lasted for ten days, resulted in 30 arrests and 17 individuals being placed under judicial control. These individuals were involved in various activities, including funding the PKK and promoting its ideology online.
Türkiye’s ongoing counterterrorism efforts continue to target the PKK/KCK, aiming to dismantle the organization’s networks and prevent further terrorist activities within the country.
