Türkiye exhibits cutting-edge GÖKKURT intelligent munitions at SAHA EXPO 2024 PHOTO

The Turkish defence industry has developed the GÖKKURT (SKYWOLF) family of intelligent munitions to enhance the striking power of national strike drones.

The ASTECH DEFENSE company will debut the GÖKKURT intelligent munitions family (GAM) at the SAHA EXPO 2024, an international defence and aerospace industry exhibition, taking place from October 22 to 26, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.

This family of mini-intelligent weapon systems, designed for drones and combat aircraft, consists of three different variants: GAM-A, with a range of 20 kilometres; GAM-B, with a range of 40 kilometres; and GAM-D, with a range of 80 kilometres.

The GAM family features a modular structure that can be customised to meet mission requirements, equipped with four different types of guidance heads and two variants of warheads, allowing for precise targeting of both stationary and moving objectives using ANS/KKS guidance and self-guidance technologies. All systems share common components for the main body, avionics systems, and platform interfaces.

While GAM-A serves as the base configuration, the GAM-B and GAM-D models incorporate various wing kits into their main structure. The GAM-D model includes a propulsion system that enhances flight range and the ability to loiter.

Notably, the GAM product family is set to provide users with operational superiority on the battlefield, boasting ranges of over 20, 40, and 80 kilometres, along with warheads weighing 16 kilograms.

The GAM family aims to revolutionise the military landscape, particularly through integration with national drone systems. These munitions are capturing the attention of combat units due to their two to three-times greater power compared to their counterparts, extensive range, and broad firing capabilities.

GAM munitions can be employed individually or in groups, with a "fire-and-forget" capability, as well as a Man in the Loop firing mode featuring bidirectional communication. In this mode, targets can be updated instantaneously through interaction between the pilot and the munitions.
