Türkiye extradites 76 wanted individuals in international operation

Türkiye has extradited 76 people who had been wanted by authorities in an international operation, including 29 individuals sought under Interpol Red Notices and 47 others wanted as part of national investigations, TRT Haber reported.

The operation was coordinated by the Turkish Interior Ministry’s Interpol-Europol Department and the Ministry of Justice, with the involvement of units tasked with combating organised crime, intelligence, drug trafficking and cybercrime, as well as the Public Security and Counterterrorism departments.

Türkiye’s Interior Ministry said the extraditions were carried out through cooperation between Turkish law enforcement agencies and the relevant authorities in the countries where the suspects had been hiding.

The ministry described the operation as the result of coordinated international efforts to locate and return individuals wanted by Turkish authorities.
