Türkiye: Fire breaks out at factory in Silivri

A fire has broken out at a four-storey factory in Türkiye's Silivri, with fire crews currently tackling the blaze.

The factory, located on İlter Boulevard in the Ortaköy Organised Industrial Zone, produces electrical cables in its basement, while the upper floors are unused, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Thick smoke from the blaze spread across the surrounding area.

Following reports of the incident, fire engines, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched from neighbouring districts. Firefighters are continuing to work to bring the basement fire under control.
