Türkiye hosts largest winter exercise in its history PHOTO
Türkiye's Kars province is hosting the largest international winter exercise in the history of the Republic - "Winter Exercise - 2023".
Turkish National Defence Minister Hulusi Akar is scheduled to observe the manoeuvers on High Observer Day, as well as the high command of the Turkish Armed Forces, according to TRT Haber.
Representatives from 17 countries, including Germany, Azerbaijan and Britain are taking part in the exercise in the Sarykamysh area.
According to the scenario, the exercise will focus on cooperation and coordination in joint operations, testing the operability of combat and transport vehicles and unit capabilities, including firing in extreme cold and improving training in personnel accommodation, shelter and supply.
The exercise involves tank units, artillery units, mortar and sniper teams, special forces units and aviation.
Offensive and amphibious assault operations and air transport and logistics support will be practised.
