Türkiye intensifies fight against FETÖ: new arrests and judicial control
Over the past two weeks, the Turkish gendarmerie has detained 76 suspects in operations against the FETÖ structure, of whom 50 were arrested.
Another six individuals are under judicial control, while the cases of the remaining suspects are ongoing, Caliber.Az reports, citing Haber Global.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that the operations were conducted under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Gendarmerie TEM Department, with the support of commands in 28 provinces, including Ankara, Istanbul, İzmir, Bursa, Diyarbakır, Konya, and others.
According to the Interior Ministry, the detained suspects maintained contact with the organisation’s leaders via payphones, financed FETÖ-linked structures, and spread propaganda on social media.
Yerlikaya noted that in 2025, 1,601 people were detained as part of the fight against FETÖ, and 1,524 suspects were placed under judicial control. In his statement, the minister emphasised: “The traps set against the national will are being dismantled one by one. Our struggle continues with determination.”
