Türkiye, Iran boost dialogue over nuclear talks during phone talk
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has held a phone talk with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi to discuss the latest round of Iran’s nuclear negotiations held in Oman.
The two diplomats reviewed the status of the talks and exchanged perspectives on their potential outcomes, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.
In addition to the nuclear issue, Fidan and Araghchi also addressed several regional and international matters of shared interest, underscoring the importance of maintaining open lines of communication between Ankara and Tehran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is also set to travel to Moscow later this week, according to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, who made the announcement during his regular press briefing on April 14.
Baghaei noted that Araghchi’s trip had been planned in advance and said the minister would use the opportunity to hold consultations with Russian officials about the ongoing negotiations with the US.
