Türkiye, Iran FMs call for enhancement of bilateral ties

During the phone talk, Hossein Amir Abdollahian congratulated Hakan Fidan on his appointment to the post of Turkish foreign minister.

Inviting Fidan to visit Tehran, the Iranian diplomat expressed hope that close cooperation between the two neighbours would continue during Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogh's new term in office, IRNA reported.

While inviting his Turkish counterpart to pay an official visit to Iran, Abdollahian stressed the need to expedite the broadening of Tehran-Ankara relations.
