Türkiye, Kazakhstan discuss defence cooperation in Ankara meeting

The Head of the Turkish Defense Industry Directorate, Haluk Görgün, held discussions in Ankara with Azamat Omirzakovich Beispekov, the Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to explore avenues of collaboration in defence.

Reportedly sourced from SavunmaSanayiST.com's social media page, the meeting aimed to strengthen defence industry ties between the two nations, according to Caliber.Az.

Görgün expressed gratitude for Beispekov's visit and anticipated that the discussions would yield fruitful outcomes for defence cooperation.

“We received the Deputy Minister of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan, Mr. Azamat Omirzakovich Beispekov, and the delegation accompanying him to the Department. I thank them for their visit. I hope that the defence industry cooperation meeting we held on the relations between the two countries in the field of defence industry will be useful,” Görgün posted.

A notable highlight of the meeting was the presentation of a model of the Turkish 5th generation fighter, KAAN, underscoring the significance of defence collaboration between Türkiye and Kazakhstan.

It is customary to present a model that encapsulates the central theme of negotiations, suggesting the importance of defence cooperation in this exchange.

The meeting signifies both countries' commitment to fostering bilateral relations and leveraging each other's expertise in defence technology and innovation.
