Türkiye launches application process for presidential candidates

The process of submission of applications to the supreme electoral body of Türkiye by the presidential candidates has started.

APA reports that the presidential and parliamentary elections in Türkiye will be held on May 14, and the application deadline for the presidential candidates is 5 pm on March 20.

Candidates whose applications were rejected can apply again until 15:00 on March 21. Applications will be considered and answered until 17.00 on the same day.

In the next phase, candidates nominated by voters must collect at least 100,000 signatures between March 22 and March 27.

The deadline for political party presidential candidates to submit their applications will end at 5 pm on May 23.

The final list of approved presidential candidates will be published in the Resmi Gazete on March 31, and the campaigning phase will begin.
