The Turkish Interior Ministry has stated that a large-scale operation targeting organised criminal groups in Turkey has resulted in the detention of 32 suspects, 23 of whom were later arrested by a court.

The operation was carried out across 22 provinces under police coordination, with raids conducted simultaneously in Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Bursa, Diyarbakir, Adana, Samsun and other regions, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.

It was led by the Artvin Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office with the involvement of intelligence units, international police departments and regional directorates.

The suspects are accused of armed robbery and money laundering.

During the investigation, authorities seized cash, foreign currency and gold worth around 7.4 million Lira ($163,571), as well as real estate and vehicles valued at approximately 60 million Lira ($1,326,274).

In addition, bank accounts, crypto assets and transactions worth around 5 billion Lira ($110,517,100) linked to the suspects were frozen.
