Türkiye launches production of domestic Kalashnikov-like assault rifle VIDEO
Turkish defence firm Özgüven Defense, established in 2014 and specializing in the production of small arms, is contributing to the development of Türkiye's defence industry.
Offering a full range of high-quality firearms and related components, the company designs, manufactures, and assembles precision rifles, pistols, and firearm components, Caliber.Az reports, citing a post on X by Defence Here.
In this regard, the company is developing the AK ("Avtomat Kalashnikova") OZG762, a 7.62x39 calibre assault rifle, which boasts excellent performance and reliability.

Thus, the Russian-made AK-47, considered the most popular weapon in the world, is being developed domestically by the company.
The AK-47 rifles, which use 7.62×39 mm ammunition, feature a stamped steel receiver.
The weapon, which successfully passed shooting tests, achieves a rate of fire of 600 rounds per minute.
