The missile, developed by Roketsan and supported by the Turkish Defence Industries, was launched at 06:44 local time (03:44 GMT) on May 23 from the area of the Black Sea's Rize Artvin Airport.
During the launch, heightened security measures were taken inside and around the perimeter of the airport.
The first TAYFUN ballistic missile was launched from the same area on October 18, 2022.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the time that the missile flew a distance of 561 km, with a range of 1,000 km planned.
Ballistic missiles with ranges up to 300 km are defined as "Tactical Ballistic Missiles", while missiles with ranges between 300 and 1,000 km are defined as "Short-Range Ballistic Missiles".
The TAYFUN missile is expected to enter service soon, greatly enhancing Türkiye's deterrence capabilities.
