Türkiye names new Air Force chief in senior military reshuffle

Türkiye's Supreme Military Council (YAŞ) has approved a series of senior military appointments as part of the Turkish Armed Forces' regular leadership rotation.

Under the decisions endorsed by the council, Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu will remain at the helm of the Turkish Navy after his term as commander was extended by one year.

The council also appointed General Rafet Dalkıran as the new commander of the Turkish Air Force, marking one of the key leadership changes announced following the annual meeting of the country's top military decision-making body.

The personnel changes form part of Türkiye's routine rotation of senior commanders, a process aimed at ensuring continuity and the orderly transition of leadership within the armed forces.
