Türkiye plans to remove over 140 of citizens from Gaza
Türkiye expects to evacuate on December 3 over 140 of its citizens and their relatives who were in the Gaza Strip.
“Since yesterday, the evacuation of our citizens from Gaza has resumed. Last night, 142 of our citizens, along with their relatives, left the sector for Egypt. This group of people is expected to arrive in Turkey on Sunday,” Turkish Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Oncu Keceli told journalists, TASS reports.
As the Turkish authorities previously informed, the process of removing citizens from Gaza, as well as Palestinians who require medical assistance, is taking place in coordination with Egypt and Israel.
To date, both its citizens and residents of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus recognized by Ankara, as well as patients from hospitals in the Palestinian enclave with their accompanying persons have been delivered to Türkiye. These are mainly cancer patients, children and adolescents.
