Türkiye pledges retaliation to Mosul consulate attack

The Turkish National Defence Ministry has said that terrorists who attacked the consulate in Mosul will be brought to justice.

The ministry made the remarks on its official Twitter page, Caliber.Az reports.

"With the attack on our consulate in Mosul, it became clear again who attacked civilians and civilian targets. Sooner or later, the terrorists who committed the attack will respond in the same way as other terrorists," the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry said that Ankara expects from the Iraqi authorities that the Mosul consulate attackers will be brought to justice.

It was noted that the Iraqi side should not neglect to take all measures for the security of diplomatic missions.

In addition, Türkiye's readiness to cooperate with Iraq in the fight against terrorism and border security was stressed.
