Türkiye, Russia plan energy, mining exchange in Istanbul Financial Centre

After discussions at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Türkiye and Russia unveil intentions to establish an energy and mining exchange within Istanbul's financial centre.

According to NTV, Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Energy of the Republic, revealed the initiative following talks with Alexander Kozlov, Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology.

"The establishment of a Turkish energy and mining exchange in Istanbul's financial hub, focusing on exploration, mining, and trading of metals, was the focal point of our discussions. We anticipate that this collaboration will elevate our partnership to new heights," Bayraktar stated, expressing optimism for enhanced cooperation.
