Türkiye’s Antalya secures hosting rights for COP31 conference
Türkiye’s city of Antalya has officially secured the hosting rights for the upcoming COP31 conference, positioning itself as a key player on the global stage in the fight against climate change.
Türkiye held an event titled “Shaping a Sustainable Future: Türkiye’s Climate Action Network” at the 62nd Sessions of the Subsidiary Bodies of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (SB62) in Bonn, Germany, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanisation, and Climate Change Fatma Varank called on all participants to support the upcoming COP31 conference, scheduled to take place in Antalya, Türkiye.
The event featured a video presentation showcasing Türkiye’s readiness and climate commitments for COP31. Concluding the session, Head of the Department of Climate Negotiations and International Policies Aysin Turpanci at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, detailed Türkiye’s plans and the importance of hosting COP31 in Antalya.
