Türkiye’s Baykar unveils new AI-powered strike drone Bayraktar TB2T-AI VIDEO

Chief Technology Officer of the Turkish Baykar defence company Selcuk Bayraktar has unveiled the latest addition to their drone lineup—the Bayraktar TB2T-AI.

This new strike drone, which incorporates advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology, represents an upgraded version of the highly successful Bayraktar TB2, the most widely exported drone in the world, Caliber.Az reports, citing Bayraktar's message on X.

The Bayraktar TB2T-AI offers enhanced performance with an increased takeoff weight and greater payload capacity, enabling it to carry out longer and more effective missions. These improvements are expected to make the drone a formidable asset on the battlefield, as it continues to gain popularity among military forces worldwide. One of the standout achievements during flight testing was the Bayraktar TB2T-AI’s record-breaking ascent to an altitude of 30,318 feet, showcasing its impressive capabilities.

The drone is equipped with cutting-edge AI systems that provide outstanding autonomous control. This includes visual navigation, target recognition, and the ability to perform automatic takeoff and landing procedures—further enhancing its versatility and operational efficiency. In addition, the Bayraktar TB2T-AI is designed to excel in environments subject to electronic warfare, which will significantly broaden its application in combat operations.
