Türkiye’s combat aircraft KAAN development progressing as planned, minister says

Türkiye’s National Combat Aircraft (KAAN) programme is moving forward as planned, with both the aircraft’s production and the development of its domestic engine proceeding on schedule, according to the country's Minister of National Defence, Yaşar Güler. 

In a response to a parliamentary question from Mersin MP Mehmet Emin Ekmen, Güler confirmed that all activities related to the KAAN project, led by Turkish aerospace company TUSAŞ, are progressing smoothly, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

He further confirmed that work on the domestic and national engine for KAAN was progressing simultaneously with other aspects of the project. According to the minister, these efforts were on track to meet the scheduled timelines.
