Türkiye’s Fidan accuses Netanyahu of covering up “own genocide”
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to conceal what he described as Israel’s own acts of genocide.
Speaking to Turkish broadcaster TGRT Haber, Fidan said there were “facts recognised by the world as genocide,” adding that Netanyahu’s efforts amounted to “an attempt to hide his own genocide.”
The minister argued that the perception of Israel’s immunity had “collapsed” and described the situation in Gaza over the past two years as “a wound not only for our nation, but for all Muslims and the pain of the entire world.”
Fidan also accused Israel of seeking expansion and occupation beyond the borders defined in 1967. “This is obvious,” he stressed.
He said the United States was the country with the greatest ability to put pressure on Israel but was failing to use that influence effectively.
