Türkiye’s Istanbul bus collision kills one person, injures 40 others
A collision between two metrobuses at Haramidere station in Istanbul, Türkiye on May 10 resulted in the death of a 37-year-old woman and left approximately 40 others injured.
Governor of Istanbul Davut Gül provided initial details, stating that two of the injured are in critical condition, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene, and injured passengers were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The crash forced the temporary suspension of metrobus services along the route, with operations later resuming in a limited capacity using a single lane.
The disruption caused significant delays during peak transit hours. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined. An official investigation is underway to establish what led to the crash.
