Türkiye's new “swarm” kamikaze drone undergoes testing video
Türkiye’s defence industry continues to expand its capabilities in unmanned aerial systems, introducing new technologies and operational concepts for military drones.
According to Caliber.Az, citing SavunmaSanayiST.com on X, the drone manufacturer SkyDagger has developed a new loitering munition system made up of a swarm of small drones known as the SKYDAGGER TOYCA 05. This marks the company’s first design produced in a fixed‑wing UAV configuration.

The Bayraktar KALKAN DİHA, already used for reconnaissance, surveillance, and intelligence gathering, can also function as an aerial launch vehicle for small munitions or kamikaze drones. This launch method significantly increases the range and endurance of the released drone.
Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar announced the SKYDAGGER TOYCA 05 in a post on X. A video released alongside the announcement shows the drone — catapult‑launched — demonstrating high manoeuvrability.
The SKYDAGGER TOYCA 05 has a range of up to 70 kilometres and carries a 5‑kg high‑explosive fragmentation warhead. It supports mesh‑network combat communications, features anti‑jamming capabilities, and can operate either in FPV mode or fully autonomously. Production capacity currently exceeds 30,000 units per year.
