Türkiye, Saudi Arabia activate visa-free travel for diplomats, officials
Türkiye and Saudi Arabia have put into effect a reciprocal visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic and special passports, in a move aimed at easing official travel between the two countries.
The arrangement, approved by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, grants visa-free entry for eligible categories of passport holders from both Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Under the terms of the agreement, diplomats and holders of special (green) passports will be permitted to travel to each other’s territory without a visa for stays of up to 90 days within any 180 days.
The exemption applies to entry, transit, exit and short-term stays.
The deal is expected to facilitate official contacts, streamline administrative procedures, and further institutional engagement between Ankara and Riyadh, which have expanded diplomatic and economic ties in recent years.
