Humanitarian aid left Türkiye for Pakistan at Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s instructions on Aug. 28.
“Two planes required to deliver humanitarian aid to our Pakistani brothers, who were affected by the flooding caused by monsoon rains, took off from Ankara’s Etimesgut Air Base. We express our deep condolences to the families and relatives of the victims, and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded,” Azertag reports, citing the Turkish Defence Ministry.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) of the Turkish Interior Ministry have coordinated the supply of the aid package.
