Türkiye shuts border with Iran amid security concerns

Türkiye has suspended passenger transport at all three border checkpoints with Iran, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced.

The minister noted that, in light of recent developments in the region with global repercussions, the current status of Türkiye’s customs gates with Iran is being comprehensively assessed, and the situation is monitored by the customs administration on an ongoing basis, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

The Ministry of Trade also stated that, if needed, additional measures and action plans at the customs gates would be updated.
