Türkiye: Student bus overturns in Konya, 29 injured

A student bus transporting pupils from Huğlu Neighbourhood to Beyşehir overturned into a roadside ditch near Kayabaşı Neighbourhood in Konya Province. 

Emergency teams were quickly dispatched to the scene, and the driver, along with 28 passengers, sustained minor injuries. The injured were taken by ambulance to Beyşehir State Hospital, where officials confirmed their conditions are stable. Some passing drivers also helped transport students to medical facilities, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

The Konya Governor's Office announced that a comprehensive investigation into the accident is ongoing. In its statement, officials said:

“According to initial findings, the vehicle carrying students lost control on the Huğlu–Akseki road, resulting in 29 minor injuries. The injured were transported to Beyşehir State Hospital for treatment. We extend our best wishes and hope for a speedy recovery for all involved.”
