According to the report, the target was hit with high precision using a guidance head.
The LEVENT short-range air defence missile system is designed to provide effective protection for naval vessels and coastal assets against a wide range of aerial threats, including low-flying anti-ship missiles (subsonic and supersonic), aircraft, helicopters, drones (UAVs), and armed versions of drones.
LEVENT is resistant to intensive electronic warfare emissions and combat conditions. The system also boasts a high payload capacity for its guided missiles.
The system can be integrated into new surface platforms or upgraded for existing vessels. Its hybrid guidance head, fragmentation warhead, proximity sensor, and high manoeuvrability ensure effective performance even in challenging conditions.
Equipped with radar and electro-optical components, the LEVENT launcher can simultaneously perform detection, target tracking, threat assessment, engagement, and destruction of targets.
