Türkiye tests electro-optical system integrated into Bayraktar UAV VIDEO

The ASELFLİR-500 electro-optical system integrated into the Bayraktar AKINCI attack UAV has been successfully tested in Türkiye.

During the test, the Bayraktar AKINCI heavy drone successfully destroyed an Albatros boat floating at sea using the ASELFLIR-500 electro-optical reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting system developed nationally by ASELSAN, SavunmaSanayiST.com wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.

Thus, Bayraktar AKINCI demonstrated its effectiveness on the battlefield during the first flight and fire tests of ASELFLIR-500.

After successful tests, Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar noted the features that distinguish ASELFLIR-500 integrated AKINCI from foreign analogs:

• Better performance in detection, diagnosis and identification day and night (EO, Thermal, SWIR)
• More accurate laser pointing beyond conventional ranges.
• Artificial intelligence-based precision image processing and video tracking capabilities.
