Türkiye to contribute to Azerbaijan's just cause as much as it can, defence minister pledges

Turkish National Defence Minister Hulusi Akar has said that Türkiye supports Azerbaijan and will continue to contribute to Baku's just cause as much as it can.

“Türkiye is not a threat, but a strong and reliable partner. A true ally and a power you can rely on is the Republic of Türkiye!" Anadolu Agency quotes Akar as saying on December 2 during his visit to the northwestern province of Canakkale.

"Türkiye, indeed, is an important factor in the war between Ukraine and Russia. Turkish Cypriots are our brothers, and their interests are a component of Türkiye’s national struggle. Therefore, there can be no waste in the Cyprus issue," the minister added.
