Türkiye to create Iron Dome air defence system with help of AI
A multi-level air defence system "Iron Dome" using artificial intelligence will be created in Türkiye.
The issue was discussed at a meeting of the executive committee of the defence industry, which was held in Ankara under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
The Iron Dome project envisages integration of air defence systems into a single network and transmission of information through it for real-time decision-making, TRT Haber TV channel reported after the meeting.
It also considered projects for the purchase of the national fighter KAAN, Bayraktar TB3, Akinci and Aksungur UAVs, kamikaze drones and mini drones, electronic warfare systems, and defence against UAVs of various classes for the Armed Forces. In addition, projects for modernisation of armoured vehicles, combat aircraft in service with the Turkish army, taking into account domestic capabilities, and procurement of command, control and communication systems were also considered.
