Türkiye to establish air corridors for drones PHOTO
Türkiye plans to create urban and intercity air corridors specifically for drones, in addition to designated routes for land vehicles, aircraft, and ships.
Türkiye's Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced the significant development emphasising that flight safety is a top priority in these plans, TRT Haber reports.
"Just as cars, planes, and ships follow specific routes, drones will also have designated trajectories to ensure a safe airspace for UAVs," he stated.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation is developing new models for civil aviation to accommodate UAVs. These new systems will enable the integration of drones into the existing airspace.
Additionally, Uraloglu mentioned plans to construct repair stations along these drone corridors to support the new infrastructure.
