Türkiye to provide electricity for 1 million Ukrainian homes by installing floating power plants
Türkiye will supply floating power plants to Ukraine that will be capable of covering the needs of 1 million households.
According to Anadolu agency, the Turkish company "Karpowership" signed a memorandum of intentions with the Ukrainian national company "Energy Company of Ukraine" (EKU) to supply floating power plants with a capacity of 500 MW.
The placement of floating power plants in the ports of Moldova and Romania is also being considered, as well as the supply of electricity to the Ukrainian networks through these countries. Regarding this matter, Karpowership and EKU will hold talks with the authorities of Romania and Moldova.
Caliber.Az recalls, that Karpowership (owned by Karadeniz Energy Group) is one of the world’s largest operators of floating power plants. The company’s overall capacity is 6 gigawatts entailing 36 ships.
