Türkiye, UN express condolences to Russia following Dagestani terror attacks
Türkiye has expressed its condolences to Russia in connection with the recent terrorist attacks in Dagestan.
Omer Celik, Spokesperson for Türkiye’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), conveyed the message, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
"Türkiye expresses condolences to Russia over the terrorist attacks in Dagestan," he said after a meeting of the party's executive committee, held in Ankara under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Similarly, UN Secretary-General António Guterres also condemned the attacks in the strongest terms, offering his condolences through his spokesperson, Caliber.Az reports, citing Stephane Dujarric,
Guterres expressed sympathy to the families of the victims, the people, and the government of Russia, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
