Türkiye unveils BARKAN unmanned ground vehicle with integrated weapon system PHOTO/VIDEO
In a significant development showcasing the advancements in the Turkish defence industry, the unveiling of the BARKAN unmanned ground vehicle has garnered attention.
Developed by HAVELSAN, the BARKAN vehicle has been equipped with the cutting-edge TRAKON LITE remote weapon control system from UNIROBOTICS, a subsidiary of the SYS Group, which includes CANiK among its members, Caliber.Az reports, citing SavunmaSanayiST.com in social network X.

In this context, the Repkon Defence 40mm automatic grenade launcher (RDS40-AGL) has been integrated into the BARKAN with the Trakon Lite remote weapon control system developed by Unirobotics.
The 40mm automatic grenade launcher is capable of firing 40x53 millimetre calibre ammunition.
The BARKAN unmanned ground vehicle was tested in indoor and outdoor areas with the new weapon and remote-controlled weapon system and showed successful results.
Main tactical and technical characteristics of the BARKAN:

o Weight: 900kg (without payload),
o Operating time: > 5 hours.
