Türkiye, Uzbekistan focus on international, regional issues

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has met with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the sidelines of the summit of the Organisation of Turkic States in Turkestan, Kazakhstan, during which the two leaders exchanged views on current international and regional issues.

Mirziyoyev and Erdoğan also noted the growing volume of bilateral trade, the increasing number of joint ventures, and the expansion of air connectivity between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports, citing Sputnik Uzbekistan.

Turkistan is described by officials as a symbolic centre of the Turkic world.
