Türkiye welcomes US-Iran talks, backs Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process
Türkiye has welcomed the positive outcome from negotiations between the United States and Iran and reiterated its support for peace efforts in the South Caucasus, Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş said in Baku.
Speaking at the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States, Kurtulmuş expressed hope that the terms of the reported agreement between Washington and Tehran would be fully implemented, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
“We hope that the ongoing negotiations will yield positive results and contribute to the establishment of genuine peace in the region,” he said.
Kurtulmuş also praised progress in peace talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia, saying Türkiye places high importance on the dialogue and fully supports the process.
“I hope that a lasting and sincere peace will be established in the region between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The South Caucasus will become a region of peace, tranquility, and stability,” he said.
