Turkmenistan, Iran discuss expanding economic cooperation
Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd, during her official visit to Turkmenistan, where the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration across several sectors, including energy, transport, construction, communications and agriculture, Caliber.Az reports per Turkmen media.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of the Turkmen-Iranian Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in promoting closer ties between the private sectors of both countries.
At the conclusion of the talks, Berdimuhamedov and Malvajerd expressed confidence that relations between Turkmenistan and Iran would continue to deepen for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
