Turkmenistan is ready to consider the issue of supplying its gas to Türkiye, said the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty (People's Advisory Council) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, speaking at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Turkish capital Ankara on March 16, Report informs.
According to him, since 2000, projects worth more than $110.3 billion have been implemented in Turkmenistan with the participation of businessmen from Türkiye. Just the day before, the foundations of three medical facilities worth about $1.5 billion were laid in Ashgabat. They will be built by a Turkish company, said Berdimuhamedow.
Noting that the OTS countries are located in seismic zones, he proposed to establish cooperation on basic issues of seismology, modern geodynamics, and geophysics.
He also supported the nomination of Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the Nobel Peace Prize, noting that he had known him closely for 22 years.
"The President of Türkiye is an outstanding personality and world-class politician, makes a great contribution to strengthening peace, security and sustainable development on a regional and global scale, mutual understanding and solidarity in international relations, and deserves this international award," Berdimuhamedov said.
