Turkmenistan, Türkiye sign bilateral agreements

During the visit of Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay to Turkmenistan, bilateral agreements were signed between the two countries in various fields.

Vice-President Fuat Oktay and the accompanying delegation met with the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdaev within the framework of the meeting held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan entitled "The Sixth Meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission" on Economic Cooperation, Anadolu reports.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation in many areas such as trade, transport, energy, agriculture and education were discussed, and at the end of the meeting, a signing ceremony was held.

In a statement to the local press, Oktay said, “Our relationship has been good so far, but from now on it will continue to gain momentum. Our relations in the economic, trade, transport, cultural and social spheres will grow even more.”

The vice president added that the parties signed an agreement of 72 points in various areas: “This is a road map. Our main task is to implement our goal of $5 billion in trade turnover and move towards the volume of $10 billion.”
