Two Armenian servicemen blown up while performing engineering works

Armenian Defence Ministry reported about the death of two Armenian servicemen as a result of an explosion during engineering works on September 2.

The incident took place around 17:30 while carrying out blasting works for the purpose of road construction, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

The dead were Major Arman Rubikovich Babajanyan and serviceman Artur Haykovich Poghosyan.

An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident. The Ministry of Defense expresses its condolences and support to the family members, relatives and colleagues of the servicemen.
