Two dead, five injured in blast at oil field in Russia

Two people died and five more were injured in a blast at an oil field in Yugra, the regional government said on August 14.

"Five people were injured and two died in an explosion at an oil field in Yugra. Those injured are being taken to a hospital in Nyagan," it wrote on its Telegram channel, TASS reports.

In addition, at the site of the explosion, a fire started in an area of 100 square metres. The forces and means of the Oktyabrsky fire and rescue garrison, including four units of equipment, were involved in extinguishing. Presumably, in the centre of combustion there were cylinders with nitrogen, the authorities added.
