UAE: Iran’s attacks on Gulf states have deepened Tehran’s isolation
25 August 2026 13:39
UAE presidential adviser Anwar Gargash has said Iran’s attacks on Gulf states have worsened the Islamic Republic’s position as its conflict with the United States enters a new phase.
Writing on X page, Gargash said the conflict was unfolding against a backdrop of increased economic pressure from Washington on Tehran.
He described Iran’s “aggression against the Arab states of the Persian Gulf” as a strategic mistake that had increased the country’s isolation and weakened its position.
Gargash said the way out of the conflict was not through further attacks on Gulf states, but through cooperation with them.
Such an approach, he said, could help create conditions for de-escalation and a political resolution to the war.
