Ukraine's top official urges German chancellor to cross all red lines on arms deliveries
Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Melnyk once again criticized German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's policy, saying that it has a zigzag course with regard to arms deliveries to Kyiv.
He made the remark in an interview with the Welt newspaper.
According to the diplomat, by announcing military aid to Ukraine, two days after the start of the conflict, the German chancellor committed a "landmark taboo violation".
"However, its implementation is severely delayed, more reminiscent of a zigzag course with many setbacks than a strategic advance," Melnyk said.
He also urged Scholz to cross all "self-drawn red lines" to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with all necessary weapon systems. The diplomat stressed that Kyiv expects bold decisions from Berlin, first of all, deliveries of fighter jets.
